From assessing the big picture to final polish and everything in between we’ll walk you through step-by-step sequences to assess your manuscript. From your opening Fanfare to your Final Flourish, these Founders Sessions aim to give you confidence that your manuscript is ready to make its debut.
Founders Sessions are four post-Summit presentations designed to keep your Summit momentum going and connect you with our Founders. All sessions are recorded and available for lifetime access. These sessions are only available as an add-on to a 2023 Summit ticket and can not be purchased separately.
Here’s what to expect:
Big Picture Editing – Julie Hedlund
October 19th – 8pm ET/5PM PT
You’ve written your first draft. Awesome! Now what? Julie dives in and shares what you should be looking for in your early revisions to ensure a solid foundation for your story.
Line Editing – Emma Walton Hamilton
November 16th – 1pm ET/10am PT
It’s time to put every word on trial for its life! As an editor and author, Emma has the tricks and tips to help you determine which words are necessary, which are not, and ideas for finding a better word altogether.
Final Polish – Katie Davis
December 14th – 1pm ET/10am PT
You wouldn’t leave for a fancy party without one last look in the mirror. So, you shouldn’t send your manuscript out into the world without a few final revisions to ensure it’s the best possible story it can be. Katie walks us through the final polish of your manuscript.
