Does the conference include access to any special query windows to the invited agents and editors?
Yes, Picture Book Summit offers submission opportunities. Each year we bring Summiteers a chance to submit to respected agents and/or editors.
How long will we have access to the Picture Book Summit online? Does this access include all of the information, even the workshops? Thanks!
Hi Lisa – All the Summiteers (aka: everyone who purchases a ticket to the Summit) will have access to *everything* until January 31, 2018. This includes all the Superstar Keynote Presentations, the workshops, and all the agent/editor panel recordings. You can also access all the downloads, worksheets … all the extras, too. We will be moving over all the presentations/workshops over to another platform at the end of January. We do offer a huge discount to all Summiteers on lifetime access, if they would like it, on the other platform. However, note that the agent/editor panels are not available in the lifetime access because the content in those is often time-sensitive. We have six submission opportunities this year, so be watching your email and/or our social media for more details on those, too.
When is the deadline for the early bird special?
The last day to grab the Early Bird discount is Aug 25th at midnight EST. Also, put on your calendar that we’re doing our Mini Summit on Aug 22nd. Be watching your emails for more details coming out in a few weeks 🙂
Can you please explain the 20 minute interviews and how they are set up?
Thank you for the question, Liz. We have an agent panel and and editor panel. Each panel has 4 professionals. We ask each of the professionals our top 6 most pressing questions for each panel. (6 questions for agents and 6 questions for editors). We ask the agents/editors the questions and then they respond on camera. We split the pre-recorded responses in to 4 videos, each 20 minutes long. All Summiteers get to watch those videos during the conference, and then replays are avails until January 31st of the following year. We do not sell the panel q&a to anyone other than Summiteers. The submission opportunities are also only available to the current year Summiteers. The Superstar Speakers and Workshop Presentations are all *live*. Does that answer you question? I may not be able to attend the Picture Book Summit at all. Since I purchased the package will I still have access to the replay until Jan. 31?
Yes, all attendees will have access to the replays, slide decks, downloads and everything else through January 31st of next year. And all Summiteers/attendees will have the same open periods for the submission opportunities. Some agents/editors will have a 3 month submission period, while others will be a year. You’ll receive all the submission guidelines shortly after the Summit in October.
